Remember the previous post i mentioned about the Christmas gathering with my old friends? Yup! We did it. A great moment with all of them. Eating, chatting and gossiping around, only for a short time, though. Well, i get to play with 'polaroid camera' which is owned by my friend. It was fun that you have to shake the film so as the film will only emerge as a coloured picture being taken. Even though the camera doesn't have the focus point, the quality of the pictures taken are good enough, though. Well, for a better information of the polaroid camera, please feel free to click the link as follow: Fuji Instax

Here's the process of the pictures being emerged on the film :)

No. 1

No. 2
No. 3

No.4 Tadaaaa!!!

So now i think you have a better idea on what i was trying to say. Fun right? LOL! The film is about RM2.50/piece and 1 box contains 10 pieces, so overall, it's not cheap if you want to play play around. The camera itself costs about RM250, depends on the size of the film i believe. =)

That's the Fuji Instax camera! =)

Signing off for 探查过界!:p Oh ya, before i forget, pictures of the Mangrove Swamps had been uploaded, click the link to view all of them. :) Kuala Sepetang - Mangrove Swamps
Cheers!

24/12/2010

Back to the old time, i vividly remember there was once, my primary school organised a trip to Kuala Sepetang - Hutan Bakau and unbelievably today i went there again together with a bunch of old friends! What you could find there are just forests, rivers, natural habitats and most importantly the 'Mangrove Swamps'...[No complaints about the mosquitoes bite]. Well, it was just a simple outing, though. We did have fun time there, walking under the big hot Sun and 'travelling' along the bridges through the swamps while cold jokes were made by my friend that whether could we find a human skull here. We were like.. DUH?! Hmm.. it was just a joke, and come on! How can we find those 'exotic' things here?! Meanwhile, i will share some of the photos being taken during the visit. =)

Cheers!
It is believed that there are some chalets for the travelers, just a belief and it was not usable anymore, though. =)

Standing in front of the old chalet...

Just like what we studied during the secondary school, the 'Tropika rainforest'.

Beside the river. [Ooops.. i nearly fell down after stepping onto the mud.. =( ]
It is a common thing to visit the Charcoal factory if you ever visit the Mangrove Swamps. Despite the killing weather, we used this opportunity to get ourselves into the factory. A small factory, yet amazing!

Behind us is the place to make the charcoal, by burning the mangrove trees.
From Taiping town, we used only about 25 minutes to reach our destination. We had our lunch at Matang restaurant which was only few minutes away. Just so you know, Matang is famous of the porridge, the restaurant that we went was even visited by our 4th Prime Minister's wife before. So now you won't doubt the taste anymore. :p

My yummy porridge, mixed with fresh shrimps, fish ball and fish!
Shared by 7 person, 1 porridge 2 side dishes - RM12.70 each. Cheap cheap! :p
Day was ended after we said goodbye at the Taiping Lake Garden, thought to have gone for boat riding but the weather did not allow us to go for it. Well, another gathering to be held soon tomorrow, a simple Christmas party but i believe that its more for class gathering. =)
Meanwhile, i just realised tonight is Christmas eve! But due to unfavourable situation, I'm not able to spend the time with her. Well, happy silent night and Merry Christmas dear, and to all the people out there! HOHOHO~~

17/12/2010

Don't say we're insane, because we are truly insane! We used to meet up each other when we are having our mid-term or semester holiday, sharing some stories, talking bad things about people, crap here and there.. [Sound like i'm dating a girl?] NONOno.. He is one of my dudes since primary school. Just because he's having his mid-term holiday from S'pore, we hang out together this morning, thought to have brunch and then asked some other dudes to come out together. But who knows our plan changed to a day journey to Gerik. For those who doesn't know where Gerik is, Google it! Basically it is situated in the Perak state, Northen part of Perak and Southen part of Thailand? Perhaps.. Hmm..
So, here goes the plan. Er, my apology, no plan actually. Usually we used to say, "come lets go", that phrase is our plan. :p

We knew Gerik is not near to our hometown. Apparently it takes almost 2 hours to reach there if we drive according to the speed limit, just like some of our old friends did when they went back to their hometown during the secondary school. But we were so naive and thought that the distance wouldn't be that terrible. Our thought was proven wrong when we saw a road sign showing that we needed another 100km to reach our destination from Kuala Kangsar. Shock was our expression. But we couldn't do anything except to continue our journey. Estimated time to reach was 1 hour, which was a lot much faster than a normal driving! But our insanity led us to have a thought that we could reach our destination in 50 minutes if we made it 2km/min, which mean we had to drive 120km/h constantly along the journey. @.@!! For your information, the route to Gerik ain't a highway, it was a small road and sometimes you'll meet with double line [Dilarang Memotong]. So, ahem... our mission failed. We used 52 minutes to reach, an extra 2 minutes! That crazy driving caused a lot of chaos from our friend, especially my girl friend. She said she'll slice the driver if anything happen. :p So, we used a long time to come back to Taiping, finally. Heheee..

Well, Gerik is a small town. We only used 15 minutes to get through the whole city. But one thing i couldn't deny, despite the small size and tiny capacity, the city is so much peaceful. Less vehicles, less pollution most importantly. Even when you pass by all the aunty uncle, they'll probably know whose son/daughter are you from. @.@ But who cares right? I believe my friends who're originated from there, when they go back to their home from colleges, surely and undoubtedly they'd have the feeling of 'balik kampung'. Really. The feeling is really that gorgeous. When you pass by the small stream, when you pass by the big river, when you pass by some jungle, even a small paddy field there if i'm not mistaken, when you pass by some kampongs.. Wahhh.. you feel the fresh air! Oh well, thanks to our friend who get us the lunch which we couldn't get it anywhere else. =)
Time flies, it feels so slow, yet so fast. I close my eyes and i open again, it is already few years since we'd graduated from secondary school. I wonder if i repeat the acts, will it show 2013 in my calender? I do miss the time...

@2007, for the glory of 5sc1!
Signing off for another episode of my Hongkong series. ;p
Cheers!

16/12/2010

No doubt, as ACCA exam had ended, thats a sign that we all, who had been classmates/ course mates are going to be apart very soon. Some had gone to PwC and already commenced their first ever courier in their lives, congratulation! Some had applied to KPMG and will be starting theirs in the coming January too, while some of my classmates who applied for BDO are also calling an end to their college lives and join the crowd of auditors. Nonetheless, i got the offer letter from one of the firms last week too, which is E&Y, but the only difference is that I am going to work only in next year March, which mean it's a conditional offer. I couldn't wait for the moment to come, and am very pleasure to hear that some of my classmates are going to be my future colleagues too! It is quite pressurize when i heard that it is a conditional offer because many people had told me, WHAT IF...? Well, as one of my lecturers always tells me, do your best and 'hope all is well'. No doubt, again i had done my best and i believe so did my course mates who fought till the end until the clock showed us 6.15pm since 6th of December. So what i can do now is to pray hard and be more optimistic, hoping that i could put a full stop on my ACCA studies. :) Hopefully... while enjoying one of my most enjoyable holiday ever since i stepped into college life. XD

=)
I just came back to my home-sweet-home. Finally, i could shout out :"Mom, Dad, I'm HOME!!!" Hahaa.. Really, for those who went to outstation to further their studies, when they got back home, the feeling is so undescribable, so relief.. so RELAXING! Especially when you are free from the troubles of thinking what will be your next meal. @.@ Well, I am going to be a good boy in this Loooooong holiday EVER, gonna help out my mom in areas where she needs it, clean my room as a preparation for the coming Chinese New Year.. and get back to KL in some of the weekends with parents to give some helping hands in looking up the house that we recently rented.
Talking about houses in KL, a person really has to drive for a long distance in order to get to his destination. Calculate here and calculate there, it's 20km and if it's near to your place, say your working place, then your rental is so unreasonably high. :( Seems like residents in KL have to sacrifice one to get another thing better. Sigh.. How i wish ... ...

Oh well, lately i'm addicted to HongKong series, and till now, i just found out that ppstream is so useful! HAHA! I know I am a little bit outdated, but who careS? LOL! As long as the technology is still there and I am always be free to learn something new. :p

Give me 2 more minutes!
I brought my dog for basic grooming at ss15 today. Mean time, i thought dropping down my pet to the groomer would not take a long time. So, i decided to park my car right in front of the pet shop so that i could be able to see if my car was compounded. Oh well, i still thought 2 minutes would not lead me to unfavourable consequences, but who knows?! I talked to the groomer, telling her how should Tobbie be groomed. Then after that i walked out to my car. DAMN! I saw my car was tagged! You know, MPSJ imposted a practice to tag those cars which the owners parked illegally, and the yellow tag has to be UNTAGGED at the MPSJ somewhere near... whatever! Well, i was trying to negotiate with the officer who compounded my car, but as usual, 'I'm sorry Sir, i was just trying to do my duty, i don't have the key to loosen the tag, you have to go MPSJ and see the officer there. But you have gotten your lesson, so next time don't park illegally again..'

That's the tag i was trying to describe just now. 1747 go buy TOTO!
Just because of this incident, i cancelled my outing with my friend to KL. Haizz.. What a waste, not only the opportunity to meet an old friend, but also RM50 to get the tag out from my car. =( So, drivers out there, think twice when you are trying to park illegally. Even an aunty i met at the MPSJ whom car was also tagged by the officer for illegal parking, she said : "I turun saya punya anak sekejab saja dan bila saya pusing kepala, kereta saya sudah kena tagged!" @$%#^@ LOL.
Two times of bad luck in a week, and my mom said its gonna be the third time. When will it be?! Sobsss..
I wanna go home, and its gonna be next week, so it is still a long time to go. =( Guess i will be spending my time in KL watching pps movie while taking care of my girl friend.

Love cooking lately, tried to cook some kind of dishes at home for convenience. Fried rice with lots of ingredients inside, brocolli, chicken meat, vege... HAHA! Not bad, despite the time taken to prepare the vege, it is nice when you put your heart into cooking. ;p It does taste great! Oh ya, talking about food, lately i found out a facebook user who's trying to promote her home-cooked food. Originally from Penang, at least some, or so-called North Malaysia food. I tried her 'Chai Kuih' last week, it cost me RM10/pack 9pieces/pack. It tastes so much better than those i bought from Cheras night market in the same week i got the food from the person. Hmm.. Imagine the 'Chai Kuih' was refrigerated because it was made at the night before, but i ate it in the car! Despite the coldness, the food tastes so great that i can even it when it was cold! Hmmm... Mmmm... You should try it out if you leave in PJ or Damansara Utama there. By the way, i got the 'Chai Kuih' from the aunty, i mean Madam Loo at the Curve. Delivery is provided i think, with condition that you order above certain quantity. You may find Madam Loo from the link below, there are many other food like Laksa, Curry Mee.. etc etc.

madam loo food

Well, for those who had finished their exam, happy holiday! And for those who're still having/pending for exam especially my girl friend, good luck and all the best! =)
Cheers.

Tobbie before she went for grooming. XD

7/12/2010

Alright, i finished my ACCA last paper, FINALLY! Oh yeah!! XD But there's one thing, i wonder why do i have to enter into GG.com whenever i face last paper in the final exams. Hmm.. I didn't know how was my performance in the last paper, but i would really wish and hope that ill pass through this final round, then i will really consider myself as an official ACCA graduate. Mean time, i will just play and REST!! Yahooooo~~~

Well, there are something i wanted to share that happened in my life in the past few weeks. Hmm, no doubt i had been busy preparing for the finals, problem was i felt much more tense if compared to last semester when i was having 4 papers, despite only 2 papers i had this semester. :( and sad to say that my history reoccurred again, that i had bad insomnia in both the nights of my finals. Oh well, as i said, hope all is well and pray for the best.

I have to say that Malaysia police is not so-called 'Buta' nowadays. Last week when i was driving in the highway back from The Curve, i made a short phone call while i was driving, which was only less than 5 seconds, and within the short short 5 seconds, i was stopped by a police car! :( I could only conclude that the policemen are really doing their job even they're in the police car!! My car's tinted glasses are dark in colour, even my friends find it hard to recognize us in the car when we give them a ride to the town, but i wonder how the policeman was so observant that just within the few seconds he saw me on the phone while i was driving. :( Well, i had nothing to defend myself, because i just broke the law. Lesson for the day, make phone calls with hands-free while driving! =)

Picture for the week. A dead baby bird was found dead on the glass of the car. It could be the fault of the baby's parents and accidentally dropped the baby when they tried to move the baby to another birdy's home. Too bad... =(
